TVS Motors, the third largest two-wheeler maker in India, is planning to launch TVS Neo in India very soon. The TVS Neo is already being sold in Indonesian market and doing well. The company wants to bring the machine in India with a few changes. TVS Neo has different design but that is not very new to Indian customers. In India, Hero Honda Street and Kinetic K4 was having the same body design. These stepthru bikes are very popular in Indonesia.
TVS Neo is to be loaded with the same powertrain that the Indonesian one has. It has 110 cc engine comprised of 4 stroke, single cylinder and SOHC. The powertrain of TVS Neo generates a peak power of 8.5 bhp at 8,000 rpm and delivers a top torque of 8.5 Nm at 4,500 rpm. The moped has self and kick start options. As other commuter bikes in India, TVS Neo incorporates with 4 speed gears and automatic clutch. The bike has two clutch technology that is called iRide. You can select between these two according to requirement.
TVS Neo is loaded with front disc brake and coil spring suspension at rear end. Surprisingly, the Neo has alloy wheels. The company will use new design muffler in place of existing one. In addition to that, the TVS Neo has digital dashboard that is comprised of fuel gauge, tachometer, tripmeter and speedometer. The tail lamp and turn indicators are in LED. The TVS Neo has a 4 litres of fuel tank and 1260mm of wheelbase.
The appearance of the TVS Neo is a combination of a bike and a scooter. The headlamp of the Neo is halogen type. The front fender of the bike is sharp in body colour. Black alloy wheels adorn the look of the TVS Neo. Seat arrangement is also superb. Tow riders can seat on it easily.
